• Use shaving soap or cream.
  • Mix the shaving soap or cream using a shaving brush in small circular motions. Then apply from the bottom to the top of the body to be shaved.
  • Shave gently: Shaving with a safety razor is not difficult but requires a little practice. The mistake not to make is to shave with a safety razor as if it were a disposable razor!
  • The safety razor does not have a pivoting head: you must therefore 'pull' the skin around your chin, knees and ankles to avoid cutting yourself.
  • Rinse the top of the razor thoroughly under warm water before and during shaving. Repeat after a few strokes to remove any accumulated foam and hair.
  • Hold the razor head at an angle of approximately 30° to the body part to be shaved.
  • You should make straight and short movements. Since the razor does not have a pivoting head, it is essential to make small, gentle movements.
  • The weight of the bamboo handle is enough to shave you: don't press too hard!
  • When finished, rinse skin with cool water and pat dry gently with a towel (avoid rubbing freshly shaved skin).

For the armpits, proceed in three steps :

  • Shave once in the natural direction of the hair;
  • Shave a second time diagonally to the natural direction of the hair;
  • Shave a 3rd times in the opposite direction of the hair.
  • For particularly sensitive skin, avoid this last step.
